Juncus effusus 'Big Twister'

Commonly known as Big Twister Rush, this perennial offers a unique twisted grass-like look with its large spiraling foliage. Somewhat resembling corkscrews, 'Big Twister' is a low maintenance plant that provides great texture and interest in the landscape. Blooms are insignificant and this plant is grown for its foliage.

Plant in full sun to partial shade and very moist soil. Water regularly to maintain a moist soil environment. Best suited for bogs and other bright shade locations that are very moist. Deer resistant and semi-evergreen.

Plant in a water garden, containers, very wet areas and in a cutting garden. Makes an excellent specimen plant and works well for floral arrangements. Monarda, Eupatorium, Chelone, Creeping Jenny and Hosta are all welcome companions in the garden bed.
