Brown Turkey is one of the most popular fig trees grown in the US. It produces 2 crops of fruit each year, the first in June and the second in early fall. The tree will mature to over 10' tall and wide with deeply lobed leaves. Some pruning may be required to maintain desired shape.  Produces brownish-purple delicious fruit.

Plant your fig tree in full sun to part shade, in a non-acidic soil. Brown Turkey is self pollinating and does not need to be planted with other trees. Consider planting in a south-facing area for heat protection during cold months. This variety can be planted into a container, but if so, must be moved indoors or into a protective area over winter months to protect its roots.
