Rhododendron atlanticum

Coastal azalea is a native, deciduous azalea that is native to the coastal plains of the Eastern United States.  It features large, white flowers sometimes tinged with pink that have a musky fragrance. Flowers arrive shortly before or right as the leaves appear and bloom in April.

Plant Coastal Azalea in a shady spot with some dappled sun. Avoid planting in full sun or afternoon sun as it may damage the delicate foliage. It should be planted in a well-draining area that receives good amounts of water, but where water does not pool to avoid root rot. Ensure soil is acidified prior to planting, using a product such as Coast of Maine™ Organic Soil for Acid Lovers.   Generally tolerant of deer and rabbits.

Arrives to you in a gallon-sized pot.
