Aster cordifolius 'Avondale'

'Avondale,' one of the larger Asters, is know for its autumn profusion of delicate lavender daisy like petals surrounding a distinctive pinkish-orange center. In full sun, 'Avondale' will grow to nearly 3 feet tall and nearly as wide. In shadier spots, the woody stems tend to arch and produce fewer blooms.

Drought tolerant once established we do recommend frequent watering during its first growing season. Great for planting in decorative rock gardens or as a welcome late-season addition to your pollinator gardens. Prune liberally in early spring.
