Aquilegia vulgaris 'Green Apples'

Commonly known as Columbine. This perennial is known for it's creamy white double blooms that open in late spring to early summer (May-June). Bright green apple buds fade into white as they mature. The scalloped foliage also adds beauty and interest to your garden from early spring through late fall. Grows up to 3' tall with a spread of about 1-2'.

Plant does best in full sun to part shade. Thrives in moist, well-drained soils. Does not do well in drought conditions. Flowers attract hummingbirds and butterflies and is a beautiful addition to beds and rock gardens as well as cottage gardens. Excellent cutting flowers to enjoy for more than a week. Remove flowering stems to promote additional blooms. Deer and rabbit resistant.

Companion plants include roses, alliums, peonies and iris.

Arrives to you in a gallon-sized container.
