Tricyrtis formosana (Toad lily)

Native to parts of central Asia, toad lilies are a prized plant due to their unique flowers and ability to flower in shaded areas. They also bloom in late summer and fall giving some bloom-time variety to shade gardens where most items bloom in the earlier part of the year.

Samurai variety features purple exotic flowers which resemble orchids, rising from their green/white variegated foliage. Combines well with Hosta and Ferns. Does prefer moist, well-drained soil. Low maintenance.
