Commonly known as Carolina lupine, this upright herbaceous perennial is native to the southeastern United States. Sometimes referred to as false lupine due to the similarity in the plants. Bright yellow, lupine-like flowers rise above the clump forming foliage and arrive in early summer (July).

Plant in full sun with dry to average moisture soil. An excellent choice for wildflower beds, meadows and cutting gardens.
