Flamingo (Fragaria × ananassa ‘Flamingo’) is a unique strawberry known for its soft pink to blush-colored berries and sweet, mildly tropical flavor.

This variety produces medium to large fruit with pale pink skin and red seeds, giving it a distinctive “pineberry” appearance. The flavor is sweet and aromatic, often described as having subtle pineapple-like notes. Plants are day-neutral, meaning they can produce fruit continuously from early summer through fall under good conditions.

Flamingo grows in a compact, mounding habit, typically reaching about 8–12 inches tall and spreading 12–18 inches wide. It thrives in full sun and prefers consistently moist, well-drained soil. Regular watering is important for best fruit production, especially in containers or raised beds.

An excellent choice for patio pots, hanging baskets, or garden beds, this variety combines ornamental appeal with reliable harvests. It’s ideal for fresh eating, desserts, and adding a unique color twist to strawberry plantings.
