Salvia nemorosa 'Rose Marvel'

Rose Marvel is one of the largest flower forms of salvia available.  Bright magenta flower spikes appear in May and last through summer until fall. After blooming, entire plant can be cut back to 1/3 and will likely re-flower in fall. Flowers are a magnet for hummingbirds, butterflies and bees. You will see large amounts of bumble bees feasting on Rose Marvel during summer. Generally deer and rabbit resistant.  Performs well on a sunny slope. Makes a great cut flower.

Plant salvia Rose Marvel in full or part sun in average soil. Blue marvel is a well performing plant that will do well in most soil conditions. To cut back, wait until initial crop of flowers turns brown, and cut the entire plant back to 1/3 of its initial size. New growth will flush out and flowers will re-appear in late summer for fabulous fall blooms.
