Pieris japonica 'Mountain Fire'

Commonly called Japanese pieris, this broadleaf evergreen is deer resistant and shade tolerant. Leaves emerge an orange-bronze color but mature to a glossy dark green. This pieris grows in a dense upright habit and features white lily-of-the-valley-like flowers on pendulous clusters in early spring.

Ideal for foundations and placement in shrub borders. 'Mountain Fire' is most known for its red/orange-bronze colored emerging leaves and heavy flower clusters. Winter interest comes when bead like flower buds are set in summer for the following year.  It thrives in full sun to part shade and average moisture conditions.

Arrives to you in a 3 gallon pot.
