Pennisetum alopecuroides 'Burgundy Bunny'

Prized for its multitude of bottle-brush seed plumes, 'Burgundy Bunny' is a showy, yet easy to grow ornamental grass. Grown in a tall, upright habit, the leaves of 'Burgundy Bunny' are touched with red in the summer. As fall progresses, the deep burgundy coloring appears. Cream-colored "bunny tail" plumes rise above the foliage and add to the appeal. Expect blooms from early summer through mid fall. 

This charming plant works well in containers, as a specimen or mass planted for dramatic effect. Use fresh or dried for decoration and flower arranging. Will tolerate hot dry sites, adds excellent fall/winter interest and is deer resistant.
