Prunus persica

Grow Georgia peaches at home!

This tree features beautiful pollinating pink flowers that bloom in late spring. You can expect fruit to harvest in August. Fruit will be 'white flesh' and freestone. This breed is resistant to bacterial leaf spot and brown rot.

Peach trees do well in full-sun. They typically take 2-4 years to bear fruit, although this particular tree is already a few years in, so expect fruit within the first couple years of planting. It arrives to you in a 7-gallon pot, as shown in the last photo.

This variety grows up to 15 feet tall with a similar spread. It's self-pollinating, needing only one to produce. It's important to prune peach trees, making sure to thin out the center of the tree so light can reach all portions of the branches. Pruning should occur 1 year after the tree is planted.
