Packera aurea

Commonly called roundleaf ragwort, Packera is valued for its ability to thrive in shadier locations and its pop of yellow daisy-like flowers. Expect flowers to bloom in spring (April - June).

Plant in full sun to part shade, though it does flower nicely in shadier locations. Will tolerate some dryness, but prefers a moist well-drained soil. Cut flowers back after blooming and enjoy the semi-evergreen leaves as they make a nice groundcover. Flowers are attractive to butterflies.

Perfect for large naturalized plantings in woodland gardens. When in bloom, it blankets the area in yellow and creates a spectacular show. A good choice for rain gardens as well. Companion plants in the garden include Aquilegia, Geum and Salvia

Native to the southeastern United States.

Arrives to you in a quart-sized pot.
