Monarda fistulosa
Commonly known as Beebalm, this perennial is a traditional favorite as a border plant. ‘Fistulosa’ produces pink/lavender flowers, adding a nice softer touch to your garden. Expect blooms from mid to late summer (May - September).
Plant in full sun to part shade with dry to average garden soil. This variety is not too fussy about the soil that it is planted in and can tolerate heat and drought well. Bees, butterflies and other pollinators are extremely attracted to Beebalm, while they are also deer and rabbit resistant. Remove spent blooms to encourage new flowers.
Perfect towards the middle of borders and flower beds for that cottage garden look. Also works great in pots and containers to liven up spaces in your yard. A vigorous grower, Monarda is a good choice for prairies and meadow gardens. Companions for the garden include Liatris, Coreopsis and Rudbeckia.
Native to most of North America.
Arrives to you in a gallon-sized pot.
