Leucothoe axillaris
This native is a low-growing, evergreen shrub that has a spreading, vase-like shape and will mature slowly to a height of up to 3-4'. Features thick, shiny, dark green leaves and clusters of slightly fragrant, white flowers which bloom in May. Leaves turn a purplish-bronze in winter.
Perfect to plant in shaded borders, massed as a hedge, in a rock garden, as a foundation plant or on a slope.
Arrives to you in a 3 gallon-sized container.
