Ilex crenata 'soft touch'

Soft touch is a classic, reliable and generally disease-free foundation evergreen. It grows in a rounded shape similar to that of Boxwood. Its leaves are soft, dark green with silver veining. Expect deep color all year and purple berries in winter if multiple are planted. It's fabulous when used as borders, pathway lining or to create general form in the garden. It's berries do provide a food source for some birds during winter months.

Plant Soft Touch in a sunny or partly sunny spot in average soil.  It will grow to about 3 feet by 3 feet, so its important to space them appropriately when planting. Current crop is about 18" in size.
