Hydrangea paniculata WIMS RED 'Fire and Ice'

'Fire and Ice is a compact, mounding hydrangea with good heat tolerance. Season long interest is achieved with greenish-red foliage. Flowers emerge a creamy white in early summer, change to pink mid-summer and become a deep red in fall. 

Plant in part sun to full shade with well-drained soil. Requires average to moderate watering with more needed in hot summer climates or container plantings. Showy flowers that are long blooming make this a great choice for the garden.

This deciduous shrub works well as an accent plant, in foundation planting and in borders. Blooms make excellent cut flowers for fresh arrangements and can be dried as well. Prune to keep shrub a desired size in late fall or early spring. Garden companions include Astilbe, Heuchera, Azalea and Viburnum.
