Helianthus angustifolius

Commonly called Narrow-Leaved or Swamp Sunflower, this is a showy perennial that features bright yellow daisy-like flowers with dark chocolate brown centers. Expect blooms from late summer to frost (September - October). A profuse bloomer, this is an excellent choice for late season color in your garden.

An excellent pollinator, this sunflower will attract bees and butterflies, but is also deer resistant. Add to the background of borders, in native plant gardens or naturalized areas. Mature plants can reach up to 5-8 feet tall and 2-4 feet wide.

Plant with Aster and Echinacea as companions in the garden bed.

Native to the Eastern United States
