Commonly called the Rattlesnake plantain. Native to the eastern US, This evergreen perennial shows off in any woodland garden. Very distinctive ovate blue-green leaves emerge in early spring, give way to leafless flower stalks in summer which show off tiny white-green sack-like flowers that bloom in July through mid September.  Called the Rattlesnake Plantain due to it's leaves resembling the skin of Rattlesnakes. Best if planted in part shade or full shade.
