Ficus carica 'Chicago Hardy' 

Not only is the Chicago Hardy Fig an attractive tree for your garden, it also bears wonderful figs! Chicago fig produces ripe fruits from July until fall frost, and once mature, can produce an abundance of fruit per season. Self pollinating with very attractive bark and large dark green leaves that are 4”-10” long. 

These trees thrive in both garden beds and containers and are remarkably tolerant of a wide variety of soils as long as there is good drainage. Fruit will develop on old wood in early summer and on new growth branches in early fall, giving you a super long time to enjoy your fig harvest.
