Euphorbia amygdaloides subsp. 'Robbiae'

This variety of Euphorbia or Wood Spurge features rich purple-black foliage that remains evergreen throughout winter months. The dark colored foliage, which matures to a deep purple-black, forms a great backdrop for the chartreuse-yellow flowers which bloom in mid to late spring. 

Plant in full sun to part shade in well-draining soil with moderate water. Deer and rabbit resistant, while making a nice cut flower. 

Perfect to plant in perennial borders to add a wonderful color contrast. This easy care perennial works well as a container plant, at the edges of the border and as a specimen plant. Mass plantings create a more dramatic effect. Plant with Alliums, Tulips, Leucodendron and other succulents.
