Mexican Culantro (Eryngium foetidum), also known as sawtooth coriander, is a tropical herb grown for its long, dark green, serrated leaves and strong cilantro-like flavor. Unlike cilantro, culantro is more heat tolerant and continues producing through warm weather.

Plants form a low rosette of leaves, typically reaching 6–12 inches tall and wide. It grows best in partial shade to filtered sun with consistently moist, well-drained soil.

The aromatic leaves are widely used in Caribbean, Latin American, and Asian cuisine, where their flavor is stronger and more robust than traditional cilantro.
