Colocasia, also known as elephant ears, are a family of annual foliage plants that are commonly found growing in the wild in central & South America, as well as in many places in Asia. They feature large, soft upright leaves that droop in a downward pattern and very closely resemble elephant's ears, hence their common name.

Elephant ears do best in part sun or shade- bright sun will often scorch their fragile leaves.  Elephant ears make an outstanding addition to you containers, and are generally easy to care for. The bulbs can be dug up and stored over winter for future planting.

'Thailand Giant' is one of the largest available variety, with leaves reaching up to 5 feet long in one growing season if planted into the ground. Leaves are more upright and lobed than Jack's Giant.
