Chelone lyonii 'Hot Lips'

Commonly known as ‘Pink Turtlehead’ this native perennial is perfect for the areas of your garden that get less sunlight or are shaded to give that woodland look for your garden.  In late summer to fall, you can expect snapdragon-like pink blooms. 

Consider pinching back the stem ends in spring to reduce mature plant height, especially if growing plants in strongly shaded areas where they are more likely to need some support.

Works well in the middle of borders or super foundation plant where drainage is problematic, like the bottom of slopes.
