Cercis canadensis 'Pink Heartbreaker'

This beautiful cultivar of native Eastern Redbud is a compact weeping deciduous tree. Pink Heartbreaker welcomes spring with showy dark pink buds on red stems that mature into gorgeous heart-shaped burgundy leaves in the summer then fade to yellow in the fall.

The relatively small size makes this a fabulous feature in small yards or even larger containers on a sunny patio. In a garden setting, companion plant with Kousa dogwood, hydrangeas, daylilies or gardenia to enhance and compliment the stunning seasonal color changes. Ruby Falls is just as comfortable in a zen garden setting as it is a more rustic cottage garden.

Also known as the Judas Tree or Love Tree, Ruby Falls is easy to care for compared to the beauty it offers all year long and is relatively pest and disease resistant. For best results, water frequently after planting in well-draining gritty soil until first frost.
