Centaurea montana

Commonly known as Corn Flower or Bachelor's Button, this perennial produces beautiful bright blue blooms with purple centers. Large, deeply fringed flower petals arrive in late spring (May - June) and may rebloom again in fall if cut back after initial flowering.

Plant this distinctive plant in full to part sun in average, well-drained garden soil. Can be cut back by 2/3 after blooming to refresh the foliage. Divide plants every 2-3 years in spring or fall.

Perfect for mixed containers, borders or garden beds that receive full sun. Makes a nice cut flower as well. Plant with Centranthus ruber, Hosta, Aquilegia, Heuchera or Coreopsis as companions.

Arrives to you in a gallon-sized pot.
