Caryopteris x clandonensis 'Gold Crest'

Typically a woody shrub, 'Gold Crest' is most often cut back and treated like a perennial in our area. Fragrant deep blue flowers bloom on new wood in late summer - fall. Dramatic gold foliage sets off the deep blue flowers for a unique look. 

Plant in full sun with normal garden soil and average water needs. Extremely attractive to butterflies and hummingbirds. Deer and rabbit resistant as well. Flowers can be cut for fresh floral arrangements. 

Works well when planted along borders, in containers, as specimen and mass plantings.
