Also called Wood's Sedge or Pretty Sedge
Native to most of the northeast US, Carex woodii is a sought-after native sedge due to its narrow fine-textured leaves and it's ability to tolerate shady light conditions. It reaches just 12" tall at most, and brown attractive seed heads appear in summer after flowering occurs. Makes a great option for a low or front border in your native woodland garden.
