Calycanthus floridus

Loved for its fragrant blooms, this attractive deciduous bush provides almost year-round interest. Easily grown in average, medium, well-drained soil in full sun to part shade. Grows somewhat taller in shade than in sun. Tolerant of a wide range of soils, including clay.

You can enjoy the handsome green foliage that emerges in spring followed by the sweet brown/maroon-red centers in late spring and into summer. Flowers give way to brownish, urn-shaped fruits of which mature in fall and persist throughout the winter. Lustrous, dark green leaves turn golden yellow in fall. Leaves are aromatic when brushed!

Perfect to plant as a specimen shrub in your garden. Or plant near the front door, patio, or other living areas where the fragrant flower aroma may be enjoyed. Can be used in cut floral arrangements.

Arrives to you in a 2 gallon-sized container.
