Calycanthus x 'Aphrodite'

Loved for its large blooms. This attractive deciduous bush provides almost year-round interest. You can enjoy the handsome green foliage, that emerges in spring, followed by the maroon magnolia style blooms, in summer that are long-lasting. This is a quite large shrub that needs plenty of space to look its best!

'Aphrodite' has a sweet apple-like scent. Enjoy by planting near an entry or outdoor living space. Useful in shrub borders and native plant gardens. Deer resistant! Long-lasting flowers hold well in arrangements and are great for dried potpourri. Leaves, seed pods and bark have a spicy scent when crushed.
