Callirhoe involucrata

More commonly known as Wine cups or Poppy Mallow this native groundcover features delicate five-fingered foliage dotted with stunning magenta cup-like blooms, As a single specimen, the stems form a mounded clump and spread as much as 3 feet. Mass planted, these form a dense mat that acts as a gorgeous deciduous groundcover best planted in full sun and average to dry soil. Expect blooms in summer.

The taproot of the Poppy Mallow grows deep which aids in the plant's drought tolerance but makes replanting established specimens difficult. Perfect for filling in hard-to-plant spaces in rock gardens or pollinator beds.

Primary food source for the Common Checkered Skipper.

Arrives to you in a quart-sized pot.
