Commonly called Beauty Berry or American Beauty Berry.

Beauty Berry is a flowering and fruiting shrub that is very commonly found in the south east/east regions of the US. It flowers white small flowers in spring, giving way to beautiful, extremely bright purple berries in the fall. Beauty berry is commonly grown for is one-of-a-kind berries, however its flowers are attractive to pollinators and its berries are a good food source to birds in the fall and winter.

Plant beauty berry in full sun to part shade. If planted in a shadier spot, the berry production will not be as prolific. Beauty berry prefers clay or sand soil and average moisture. Mature shrub will grow to 3-6 feet tall and wide. Popular in native gardens, as well as a specimen shrub in ornamental gardens due to its color.
