Cephalanthus occidentalis

This native multi-stemmed bush is an attractive addition to rain gardens or other areas that maintain significant moisture. Birds, butterflies and bees flock to the nectar laden blooms which are spherical and vary from white to pink. Those blooms eventually turn to seeds that ducks and other wetland birds enjoy through the fall and winter.

While they do not change color in the fall, the leaves remain until late in the season and provide shelter for wildlife. While pruning will help to maintain tidy gardens, most find the unusual naturally twisting shape attractive.

Comes to you 2'-3' tall in a 2 gallon pot

*Please note: Our native plants are field-grown and untreated with pesticides or fertilizers (how it should be!) Because of this, some varieties may show spots, browning or holes in the foliage during the fall months. Our plants have been organically treated if needed and are healthy and strong.
