rhododenron x 'herbert'

Noted for its bright fuchsia blooms with a red blotch, 'Herbert' is a gold standard in deciduous azaleas. It remains semi-evergreen in zones 6 and 7, with bright pink blooms appearing in April and May. Pollinators will flock to this variety as its a popular food source for bees and butterflies.

Mature plants will reach 2-4 feet tall and 3-4 feet wide. Some pruning to keep shape may be required after year 3. Does best in well drained soil in part shade conditions. Arrives to you in a 1 gallon pot.
