Aster novi-belgii 'Wood's Blue'

Commonly called New York Aster. Aster novi-belgii just begin to bloom as many other perennials are fading for the season! They're native, reliable and add splashes of color to perennial gardens during fall. In addition, they are incredibly attractive to pollinators and are a staple food source for many bees during the fall. They thrive in dry areas in full, beating sun.

'Woods Blue' is a low, spreading aster featuring daisy-like flowers. It blooms in the fall when most other plants have finished for the season, covering itself with an abundance of lavender-blue flowers with yellow centers.

Wonderful for edging or the front of the border with fine textured foliage to contrast with the dense flowers. Also works well as a groundcover along borders or in rock gardens. Sun lover for sure!
