Eastern Redbud is among the most popular native trees that we carry, Prized for its vibrant pink blooms in the spring and deep purple stems, it is an essential food and nectar source for local wildlife. Toward fall, the blooms turn to seed pods which remain through winter.

The umbrella shaped growth of the Eastern Redbud means it is well-suited as a point of interest in small yards or large gardens but for maximum effect, plant several and allow them to form a canopy.

Very forgiving when it comes to sun and soil, be sure to avoid heavy clay. Redbuds do not respond well to replanting once they are established so be sure to plant them in their forever home.
