This Columbine features scarlet and yellow flowers that appear on tall, delicate stems above attractive green foliage. The petals elongate backward to tubes, which contain sweet nectar. Expect blooms in late spring (April - May).

Grow in full sun to part shade with average, evenly moist, well-drained soil. Hummingbirds are known to be attracted to these beautiful blooms, while they are also deer and rabbit resistant.

Perfect for planting along the sunny borders and edges of your garden to get that cottage or woodland look. Removing stems after flowering may encourage another bloomIn the wild, this columbine is found in rocky woods, slopes, limestone outcroppings, ledges, or gravelly shorelines tolerating the salt spray and harsh conditions of the sea. Poppies, Allium and Alchemilla make great companion plants in the garden.

Native to Eastern North America.

Arrives to you in a quart-sized pot, as shown in photo 4.
