‘Black Hat’ is a new variety of Rhododendron that is prized for its beautiful blooms and attractive dark foliage. Black Hat is one of the earliest blooming rhododendrons, showing flowers as early as late March. Foliage is dark green with hues of burgundy and black. You can expect longer blooms with this variety than others.
Plant Rhododendron Black Hat in a sunny or partly sunny spot. Mature plants grow to about 3 feet tall and wide, so space your rhododendron about 36" from other plants to insure proper spacing.
