Commonly called Smooth Witherod or Possumhaw Viburnum

A straight-species, beneficial shrub with an abundance of beauty and natural benefits!

Features: Noted for is compact growing habit when compared to other native varieties. Very aromatic white flower cluster bloom in May and June. They give way to pink and blue berry clusters in fall and winter. Leaves are oblong, very glossy and dark green.

Benefits: Flowers are attractive to many species of native pollinators. Berries are a good food source for native birds and other wildlife during the winter months. Root systems provide erosion control in west areas, on slopes and in rain gardens.

Planting: Plant in full sun to part shade. For best berry production, plant with several other viburnum of the same variety, or near other species of viburnum. Water well to establish, however this shrub is commonly used in rain gardens and to control natural erosion.

Arrives to you in a 2 gallon pot, 18-24" tall.
