Tulipa humilis 'Violacea Black Base'

Easily mistaken for Crocus, these little beauties produce multiple blooms from one bulb. The deep magenta color is offset by the black center of the bloom for a gorgeous contrast. The blooms barely reach 6 inches tall and appear quickly after they emerge making them one of the earliest blooming Tulips. The compact profile makes these more tolerant of volatile spring storms and wind than their taller relatives.

Great for naturalizing in gardens and lawns. Plant 6" deep and 3"-4" apart in fall
