Tradescantia sillamontana

Commonly called 'white velvet,' Tradescantia is a low-growing succulent like plant that features green punky foliage that is covered with cobwebby, silver-white hairs.  In the summer, the stems, which grow up to 12" long will flower a small, pale magenta and white flower.

Tradescantia is a plant of moderate difficulty to grow well indoors. It does best in peat-based potting mediums with no soil mixed in. It grows best when its leggy stems are pinched, to promote new growth. If you are able to, it will thrive if moved outdoors on nice spring and summer days. It can tolerate bright filtered light.

Arrives to you in a 4.5" pot. Need a planter for your Tradescantia? Click HERE to shop.
