Figwort is a tall-growing, square stemmed perennial that's native to a large portion of the northeast US, including PA, MD and VA. It can reach up to 10 feet tall. Tubular flowers with reddish-brown interiors appear and spring and are a popular feeding spot for many native bees. Native Americans brewed tea from the roots of Figwort to aid in treating fevers.
