Quercus acutissima

This attractive shade tree is named for its sawtooth-like leaves. Yellow leaves emerge in spring and turn a nice green over summer. Fall leaf color ranges from yellow to golden brown.

Plant in full sun in most soil conditions as long as they are well-draining. The Sawtooth Oak can have some drought tolerance once established. One inch acorns are very attractive to wildlife. Grows in a pyramidal shape, but rounds out as the tree matures. 

This tree grows at a moderate to fast rate of 13-24" per year. Trees mature at around 40-60' tall and wide.
