The David Austin rose Queen of Sweden is an elegant English shrub rose introduced in 2004. Named to commemorate the historic treaty of friendship between Great Britain and Sweden, it is known for its refined beauty and upright, compact growth. The blooms begin as small, neat buds and gradually open into perfectly cupped, soft pink flowers with a gentle apricot hue when young. As they mature, the blooms become more delicate and purely pink. The fragrance is light and myrrh-like, adding a subtle charm to its visual appeal. Queen of Sweden reaches about 3 to 4 feet in height, making it ideal for smaller gardens, rose borders, or even container planting. Its upright habit and strong stems make it excellent for cutting. This rose is exceptionally healthy and repeat-flowering, with excellent disease resistance. Its poised form and graceful blooms embody the classic elegance of English rose breeding.
