Rodgersia aesculifolia var. henrici

Rodgersia is a small family of rhizomatous perennials originally native to Asia and Russia. The pink to rose-purple colored flowers are attractive, but most grow this perennial for its architectural look and foliage. Leaves are a rich green and tinged with bronze, especially later in the fall. Flowers are fragrant and resemble those of astilbe.

Rodgersia prefers full sun to part shade, but can tolerate most light position. Plant in loose well-drained soil in spring and enjoy a show of foliage throughout the year.
