Polemonium reptans

Commonly called 'Creeping Jacob's Ladder.' Polemonium is a genus of about 25 species of herbaceous perennials from Europe, Asia, North and Central America. They are grown for their showy flowers. Genus name comes from the Greek name polemonion originally applied to a medicinal plant associated with Polemon of Cappadocia.

Polemonium reptans is a compact version of Polemonium that features light purple-blue, bell-shaped upright flowers that appear in mid-spring through early summer.  Overall plant will grow to about 12-24" tall. Cut back after flowering. Great, colorful option for shade and woodland gardens.

Native to Eastern North America.
