Lupinus polyphyllus Mini Gallery™ 'Red'

This dwarf perennial plant features sweetly scented, tall red flower spikes. A part of the Mini Gallery™ series, these Lupines are known for their sweet pea-like flowers in an array of different colors that grow on a dwarf, compact habit. Flowers in this series arrive 2 weeks earlier than other Lupines and do not need staking. Expect blooms from late spring to mid-summer.

Plant in full sun to partial sun with rich, well-drained soil. Lupines are especially attractive to butterflies, hummingbirds and other pollinators. Deer resistant, they also make a beautiful cut flower. Lupines are also beneficial for helping to improve the fertility of the soil they grow in by taking nitrogen from the air and converting it into usable nitrogen in the soil for surrounding plants. Called a "nitrogen fixer", they are excellent when planted near heavy feeding vegetables, such as cucumbers, squash, cabbage and fruit trees.

Perfect to plant in mixed borders to give that wildflower, cottage garden look. Especially pretty when mass planted and in bloom as they add great form and texture to the garden.

Arrives to you in a gallon-sized pot.

**Please note this plant is mildly poisonous but can cause sickness in humans and pets if ingested. Please be mindful of this when planting in your garden.**
