Vaccinium angustifolium

Lowbush Blueberry can grow to between 6 and 24" tall and are most commonly found growing in the wild. They can be used as a low-maintenance groundcover however pruning is encouraged. This bush provides blooms in its second year of growth. A lover of acidic and sandy soil.

Glossy blue/green foliage turns from red-green in spring to dark blue-green in summer to maroon-purple in fall. Small, white, pink-tinged, bell-shaped flowers are followed by edible blueberries. It can be grown in full sun to part shade, however, a location with full sun results in more blooms, more fruit, and a more showy fall foliage.

Lowbush blueberries are smaller and sweeter and are therefore used often in jams and jellies. Arrives to you in a one-gallon pot, approximately 6-12" tall.
