Lithodora diffusa 'White Star'

Lithodora 'White Star' is spectacular around rocks and landscape boulders. A sprawling mat of dark green, evergreen, rosemary-like foliage, supports the blooms which are highly attractive to late spring pollinators. White star-shaped blossoms outlined in vibrant blue bloom during spring and into the early summer. 

The slightly mounded form adds softness and color to the top of retaining walls. Works well as a rock garden accent, softly flowing between boulders. Performs best with some shade. Excellent as an edger in the perennial border.  Like a groundcover, it spreads over a very large area. Great on slopes, berms, and banks to offer both color and erosion control.

Must have full sun and well-drained, acidic soil. We recommend cutting it back after flowering to freshen the foliage. Will self-seed. Can divide or transplant spring or fall.
