Liriope muscari 'Big Blue'

Mostly grown for its attractive foliage, 'Big Blue' forms a dense clump of narrow, arching, dark green leaves. Blooming in late summer, spikes of clustered, small lilac-purple flowers appear adding a nice pop of color to your garden. Flowers resemble grape hyacinth (Muscari), hence the latin name.

Plant in full sun to partial shade with moist, well-drained soil. Can tolerate full shade, but foliage will be more elongated and will spread much slower. Deer and rabbit resistant, as well as, drought tolerant once established.

Perfect to use as a showy groundcover and creates a dramatic, fluffy effect when mass planted under trees and shrubs. Use along pathways and borders and in narrow spaces. Autumn Fern, Ajuga, Colchicum and Ophiopogon make great companion plantings.

Arrives to you in a 4" pot, as shown in photo 3.**
